On refusing AI

Refusing AI is one of the most basic, one of the easiest things that you can do in your life. Ever since you were born, up until a few years now, you the average non-techie human, you have refused every single day to acknowledge, interact and build AI systems, have you? Most of the time, refusing AI doesn’t even require you to partake in any kind of conscious action.

Perhaps the better way to word my motivational call to resistance is, let us all be unbothered with AI.

Did you know ❓ that refusing AI takes on two forms? 😲

So, be unbothered with using it and building it. It’s that easy! You literally do nothing, and it is still one of the very powerful, morally correct ways you can make tech bros mad as hell.

Refusing AI is also the bare minimum thing to do, because there is currently a pressing urgence to destroy AI. Not everyone can do that, I completely understand. If you can though, that would be really great and you’re a real one.

You might ask, but AI is useful, and sometimes, choosing AI is the easier way to go. Sorry to break this to you but you’ve been on this Earth for so many years without AI. If not using it now suddenly troubles you to the point that you can’t refuse it, then you and this society have bigger problems to look at than whatever it is that you’re trying to solve with AI.

In conclusion, why do you have to do stuff, when you already know that not doing them is way more fun and way more meaningful?
